MIC – Maritime Information Center is an international project of company Jadran Pismo (referred to as JP).

MIC is launched after 5 successful years of experience in sending daily news in form of a newsletter to Croatian seafarers with positive feedback from more then 500 vessels.

Having support all of these years from our readers – seafarers led us to create an internet site – www.micportal.com in order to provide the users with easy access to all maritime information, events, news and services, in one place, on Croatian & English language. All marine news are in association with top maritime publication, P&I clubs, and other shipping institutes and the summary of the most interesting news are sent weekly to our readers seafarers on vessels free of charge.

MIC is a unique Maritime Information Service for Seafarers, truly a world first, offering the combined service of:

a.Maritime News in English – an abridged version sent weekly

b.World, national & regional news – full news coverage sent daily in local language/script according to the nationalities of a vessel’s crew

We have daily (excluding Sundays and Holidays) world, national and regional news, currently available in the following local languages/scripts:

Australian - Bulgarian - Burmese - Chinese - Croatian - English (for seafarers from UK) - Estonian - Filipino (Tagalog) - Georgian -  German - Indonesian - Indian news (in English language) - Italian - Latvian - Lithuanian - Monte Negro - Polish - Romanian - Russian - Ukrainian

International News on English also available.

All of our news is sourced by our local journalists direct from the appropriate countries to our office; all news services are provided objectively and without prejudice, the kind of news what can be red in local and world newspapers. That is what makes them interesting. All of our services are displayed in plain text only - without photographs, images or advertisements.

Daily delivery of world, regional and local news by email, is available by monthly subscription at $60.00 a month, per vessel for the complete service. This includes email news in an unlimited number of our offered languages.

Subscription for daily news on one language only is possible at $40.00 a month, per vessel.

These services are available for a trial period (approximately two weeks) during which time we seek your feedback, before continuation with our expanded service.

Our best intention is to keep seafarers on board up-to-date with all happenings in their home country, world and maritime news.
